Take Your Place in Shore History
For over 65 years Shore History has enriched the lives of our residents and visitors by preserving, sharing, and celebrating our Eastern Shore history. The Sycamore Legacy Society was created to honor an exceptional group of donors who value Shore History and have included it as a beneficiary in their estate plans, wills, and trusts.
Donors to the Sycamore Society are visionaries whose philanthropy will help increase the visibility, reputation, and resources of Shore History. These donors have put the needs of future generations first by contributing to a sustaining fund that will support operations and underwrite educational programming and preservation initiatives today and into the future.

Different Ways to Give
Outright Bequests
A bequest is easy to arrange, will not alter your current lifestyle in any way, and can be easily modified to address your changing needs. You can make a bequest by including specific language in your will naming Shore History as the recipient of a testamentary gift.
Retirement Plans
In some cases, retirement assets can be the heaviest taxed assets in an estate. Naming Shore History as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401k or 403b is a simple way to support our mission while avoiding significant, often unanticipated taxes.
